In December 2009, Duke University Press (DUP) will publish Surviving Against the Odds: Village Industry in Indonesia by S. Ann Dunham, late mother of President Barack Obama. The book is based upon the dissertation Dunham, an economic anthropologist, completed at the University of Hawaii in 1992.
