Monday, Nov 10: Fredric Jameson Lecture on "World Literature"

On Monday, November 10, 4:30pm, the FHI will co-host a lecture on the concept of "World Literature" by Fredric Jameson, William A. Lane Jr. Professor of Comparative Studies & Romance Studies at Duke and the 2008 Winner of the Holberg International Memorial Prize. The program will be introduced by Duke President Richard Brodhead, with commentaries from miriam cooke (Prof. of Asian & Middle Eastern Studies, Duke), Ariel Dorfman (Walter Hines Page Professor of Literature and Latina American Studies), Ranjana Khanna (Margaret Taylor Smith Director of Women's Studies & Professor of English), and Wole Soyinka (Nobel Prize Laureate and FHI/Karl von der Heyden Distinguished Scholar in Residence). Presented by the FHI, Program in Literature, Department of Romance Studies, and the College of Arts and Sciences.
